Permissions Bookd needs

  • Contacts: See, edit, download, and permanently delete your contacts
  • Calendars: View your calendars
  • Events: View and edit events on all your calendars

Contacts

An important feature Bookd offers is to request access to calendars from inside and outside your organization. To facilitate the process, your existing Contacts linked to your Google or Microsoft account are synced to your Bookd account.

Contacts from the Bookd application can be added, edited, and deleted by the user, so you. Bookd does not take action on Contacts without your request by taking an action such as: editing a name, adding a contact, or deleting a contact. Changes made to your contacts within Bookd will be reflected in your synced account.

Calendars

Bookd requires access to your calendars in order to sync with the calendars you currently have access to. When requesting calendar permissions to individuals within your Google or Microsoft account, this will automatically sync to your Bookd account. This is not the case when doing it from Bookd. Meaning, if you request calendar permissions through Bookd to an individual, you will not see those permissions within your Google or Microsoft account.

Events

Events, or meetings, populate each of the calendars you have. Bookd needs access to these events in order to distinguish when you are free and when you are available. Bookd also needs editing permissions in order to create new events in your calendars.
