When you download Vibely for the first time, you’ll be required to grant permissions. These permissions grant access to several Android services and are necessary to enable Vibely’s core functionality.

We prize transparency, so we’ve outlined which services Vibely needs access to and why they are important:

  • Contacts and call logs:

This data is required for identifying spam/unwanted callers before an incoming call comes through. We also need to know if you’ve answered a call from an unknown number so we can ask you for input afterwards.

  • Access to your phone state:

Access to your phone state permits Vibely to hang up on unwanted calls automatically, before they interrupt your day.

  • Draw over your call screen:

Vibely provides you with additional information surrounding incoming calls from unknown numbers. In order to do so it needs to draw over your existing call screen. When we do draw over your call screen, we make sure we do not obstruct any important information.

  • Do Not Disturb settings:

We briefly silence all incoming calls while we make the decision of whether to push a call through or not. This moment is very brief, in the milliseconds. In some rare cases we may silence a call completely if we believe it’s spam but we aren’t 100% sure. In order to enable this functionality we need access to your Do Not Disturb settings.
